Who we are
Om Threads Boutique ("we", "us") is a small shop based in Lake Villa, Illinois, USA. This policy explains what we collect when you visit omthreadsboutique.vercel.app or buy from us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, what you bought and how you paid (for example "card" or "PayPal"), and a gift note if you add one. Payment details such as card numbers are entered with our payment providers, never on our site, and we don't see or store them.
When you message us or join our newsletter: your name, your email address and your message.
When you browse: your cart is saved in your own browser so it's still there when you come back. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits anonymously; it doesn't use cookies or follow you across other websites.
How we use it
To take payment for and ship your order, send your receipt and shipping updates, answer your questions, handle returns and exchanges, keep the records the law requires (such as tax and accounting records), and prevent fraud. If you join our newsletter, we use your email address to send it, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only for that: our payment providers (Stripe and, where offered, PayPal, Exodus, or your bank's Zelle); our shipping-label service and carriers such as USPS (your name, address and phone, to deliver your order); our email service (to send order emails); and our website host (Vercel). For orders outside the US, the carrier shares your details with customs, as every international shipment requires. We may also share information when the law requires it.
If you buy from our Etsy shop instead, Etsy's privacy policy applies to that purchase.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually seven years. Messages and newsletter sign-ups are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it (except what we must keep by law), through our Contact page. If you live somewhere with specific privacy rights, such as California, the European Union or the United Kingdom, we'll honor them.
Children
Our shop isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Where your information is kept
We're based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.
